Unexploded Ordnance
GEC continues to expand its geophysical engineering services to
include the unexploded ordnance (UXO) investigations in the vicinity
of former military facilities. Most recently GEC has utilized UXO
exploration to help determine future land use applications near
Odyssey Middle School in southeast Orange County. Additional GEC
UXO studies include:
- Innovation Way/SR 528 Interchange. GEC performed
a time-domain electro-magnetic study at the proposed geotechnical
soil boring locations to evaluate the presence of UXO associated
with former military operation in the vicinity.
- S.R. 528/S.R. 15 Interchange Mockingbird Parcel
109. GEC performed time-domain electromagnetic and ground penetrating
radar (GPR) studies.
