GEC is providing the geotechnical engineering for the Tavistock
Group for the Burnham Institute for Medical Research at Lake Nona
(Orange County). Burnham, headquartered in LaJolla, California,
chose Lake Nona as the site of its east coast facilities expansion
for world-class biomedical research operations. The Burnham will
launch Lake Nonas plans for a Medical City which will include
the new University of Central Florida College of Medicine, the new
Orlando Veterans Administration Medical Center and plans for a 500-acre
science and technology park.

process, groundwater modeling, and site preparation including utilities,
roadway and infrastructure master planning.
