GEC provided geotechnical engineering services for the largest FDOT design/build project underway in Florida, the Interstate 4 widening at the St. Johns River. GEC's engineering technician staff, CTQP-qualified in pile inspection and construction materials testing, continues to serve this project.

GEC Design/Issues Responsibilities:

Geotechnical Engineer of Record for roadway, drainage of
Padgett's Creek Bridge and three (3) land bridges

Surcharge of soft, compressible soils at U.S. 17-92 Interchange
